Julien Roubinet


Born in France, lives and works in New York

Julien seeks to document tracts of American counter­culture using a variety of photographic mediums including digital, Polaroid, 35mm and medium format. Some of his most recent work includes the tapes serie, in which he offers a reflection on the intangible aspect of the music industry today. The large scale prints of these cassettes are an attempt to embody this absence.

Roubinet's photos have appeared in various magazine, he also co­-published a photography essay about the World of Speed in Utah, Voila Bonneville. and had his first solo show in The Great Frog, 72 Orchard Street, New York in 2014.
